To conclude I would say that I enjoy watching series and follow people stories, normal or not but above all, I enjoy sharing this time with my friends or talk about it later on. I think of a Friends episode nearly everyday as I kind of live the same situation. Series is a real hobby for me, it is a precious, a religious time when I can dream, laugh, enjoy, cry sometimes (Don’t tell me you did not cry when Dennis Duket died!).
So good luck for the series to come and I hope the strike will finish pretty soon as I need to see the end of the stories!!!!!
Here is my last post before closing this blog. I hope you’ve enjoyed the comments of a humble TV addict.

If you are a girl looking for some fresh meat, this serie should fit you. Seriously, it is the story of two brothers who are fighting demons and evils (does this remind you of something, maybe a famous vampire slayer?). They are actually trying to find their father who has mysteriously disapeared leaving some evidence about where the boys have to go to find him.
At the begining, I was not very interested because according to me, the blond girl with a huge sense of humour and the scooby gang (only fans can understand me… sorry for the others!) was the only one credible to fight everything that is not human. After a few episodes, thanks to the quality of the script, the special effects (look at Buffy again, it’s crap!) and the gorgeous guys, I finally changed my mind and I’ve enjoyed it ever since!
For the Grey’s Anatomy fans, it is the occasion to see Denis Duket again (it’s the father)!
To conclude I would say go for it! It is a brillant serie even better than Buffy… nooooooo maybe not that good, I’m kidding!

Kyle XY is based on the story of a 16 years old teenager who doesn’t know who he is and what happened before he woke up in the middle of a forest, naked. He is like a new born baby, he has never learnt how to talk or go to the toilets and other stupid things but he is learning very fast. Moreover, there is something very weird about this teenager, he doen’t have a belly button! Where does he come from? Is he human? A robot?…
This approach of how to discover life when you are already 16 is very funny and original however as we go further in the story, it is more about who he really is and why. It is a bit disappointing.

Regeneration, flying, going across walls, traveling in the past or future, manipulating spirits, hearing people thoughts, drawing the future, being very strong, steal others powers… here are some of the powers experienced by heroes characters.
But this serie is much more real than the X-Men movie or some Comics showing superheroes. Heroes is based on a theory: what if men were having a new DNA, an new evolution? It can happen to everyone of us even if we were not bitten by a spy or born in another planet called Crypton!
Heroes is about normal people with normal lives discovering their powers and becoming heroes or evils… But I have to say that if you want to enjoy the serie, you have to follow every single episode, they are all linked together, and of course start at the first one!

I found this serie quite difficult to follow as they spend there time opening doors they never close. As we are going deeper in the story, we hardly ever get answers to the enigmas that are developped, we only get new questions.
If you don’t like the fact that you’re missing so many answers that it becomes even difficult to understand the concept of the story, don’t watch it!
What is the most interesting in this series is how men and women behave in a desert island, how does live is managed outside the world we live into. Characters have strong personnalities, all types of people are represented and we can see waht men are capable of to “survive”. In that way, this serie is very moving and interesting.
Finally, I would say that even if you get lost, scriptwriters are good enough to keep you and they surprise you in almost every episode.

It is time to talk more about the series I watch and why I advise you to watch them.
Briefly, to talk about the past, when I was a teenager, I used to watch many series but the ones I followed from the begining to the end are: Friends (my favorite serie, that is why I still watch it again and again and again…) True Calling (that I talked about in another post), Buffy, Charmed (before Prue’s death), Sliders (before Professor Arthuro’s death), The Pretender, Code Quantum (an old serie that has become a masterpiece for me) and others that did not survive more than one or two seasons and I am sure nobody knows about (Zoe, Duncan, Jack and Jane (that’s the title), Stark Raving Mad and The Steet).
Today, I watch many different series and even making a list is scarying me, so many things to follow in a shorter time!
So, I watch:
A lot of science fiction series:
- Lost
- Heroes
- Kyle XY
- Supernatural
A lot of “girly” series
- Grey’s anatomy
- Desperate Housewives
And I wish to follow Private practice (Grey’s spin off) and Dirt
And others:
- Las Vegas
- Dr House
- Prison Break
- How I met your mother
After this missing information list, I should give some advice about these series in particular…

As a series fan, I suffer because off the scriptwriters strike. Each episode can be the last one and the plot is threaten by an involontory end which will torture me like True calling’s second season did when it never ended. So a new Prison break episode is available. We have been waiting for almost two monthes, it is nice to see Michael and Lincoln again.

Let me introduce myself!
I am Cathy, a TV addict. When I was young and when I had more time, I used to spend 6 hours a day in front of television. Yes, it’s correct, 6 hours a day, not a week! Today, my timetable doesn’t let me spend that amount of time in front of TV, but the first thing I do when I come home is turning it on! I try to be aware of what’s going on, what are the programms and series on, which does not mean I am watching everything but at least I try to look at it and know what it is. This leads to my series addiction which has stopped being related to TV because I cannot wait until it is on! Especially American series…
